Les deux explorateurs de Mesarthim ouvrent la voie et étendent notre horizon à chacun de leurs albums et .--... ... . -. -.-. . pousse encore plus loin cette contemplation de l'univers. Si le synthé est toujours aussi prépondérant (marque de fabrique du groupe), il sert à créer désormais une ambiance assez sombre, voire funéraire (l'orgue superbe à la fin de "...--") sur le premier tiers de l'album puis plus aérienne et galactique sur les deux tiers restants.
