bmurator US Atmospheric Folk / Black Metal. I cannot believe it has taken me this long to get this ! It is way beyond beautiful !!! The interplay between the harsh & female vocals as well as the drumming & violins in some songs is amazing.
Do I like the remaster? On the whole, yes! But I miss some of the raw spontaneity of the original... Either way & whichever version, this is one of the top albums in my collection & one that I will always come back to! Highly recommended!!! Favorite track: A Seventh Age of Fire.

Poesy Rider En dehors de ses divers projets musicaux, en tant que musicien, on se rend compte avec cet album que Dan Swanö est un grand nom du metal, et que Dzö-Nga est un grand groupe de black pagan atmo...Un grand album quoi ! Favorite track: Against the Northern Wind.

Alice M. Remasters are good at reminding you that something is collecting a shameful amount of dust in your wishlist. 😅

x0riente Owning the original LP, I got this for the new mix alone. Swanö does not (can not) disappoint, and while he certainly beefed up the overall sound, he also retained the lush detail and ghostlike fragility that make "TST" a stand-out affair. There's a bit more low-end now, which is welcome, and things feel slightly less sterile - I'd be pressed to pick a fave tho. Same with the new tracklisting: Each version ebbs and flows perfectly and I couldn't pick one over another. Just an amazing record.

bcb723 There aren't too many reasons why I would get up at 3am on the East Coast to buy something on Bandcamp Friday. But the straight up classic "The Sachem's Tales" remastered by Dan Swanö on vinyl was kind of a no-brainer preorder for me. The digital sounds unreal - as expected. Listen to the perfection of those guitars over again on headphones and marvel at this sound... Favorite track: To the Great Salt Water.

Obstacle of Affliction Rather than say this remaster is better than the original, I feel this is another perspective of what is already a very strong album. Like taking a treasured painting and putting it in a new space under different lighting. This does lend itself to being more pleasing and for that I am very grateful. Favorite track: A Seventh Age of Fire.
