Dmitry Nevozhay Stunning, best in years debut. Punchy, progressive, atmosperic blackened death with rich sound with melodic, disso and synth embellishments, and vast cosmic doom/gaze vibe. But it's the very diverse synths that make this album shine. Amazing, in the top of many AOTY lists. Highlight of the genre Favorite track: Every Tree A Sanctuary.

Pandemonium Amazing debut for a band and while it is not perfect, it set a pretty high bar for future albums. Definitely one to keep an eye on! Favorite track: Shred by Shred.

Cursebinder was born in 2019 in Kraków, Poland, combining black and doom metal influences with an eye for unrestrained experimentation. Pursuing diverse influences and drawing from post rock, shoegaze, avantgarde and progressive metal, they developed a sound entirely of their own, culminating in the debut LP Drifting.

Recorded and produced through 2022 at the venerable Impressive Art studio, Drifting fuses nuanced guitar work, a wide variety of rhythms and psychedelic ambiances. Shifting between aggressive and philosophical moods, Cursebinder's debut album contains lyrical exploration of the ways in which human ambition and greed repeatedly crash in the face of natural order, and how feelings of restlessness, disconnection and cold isolation permeate the modern world

On ne frappe pas un homme à terre : c'est ce que dit la règle mais NONE a déjà prouvé qu'il ne les suivait pas et si son album éponyme retirait toute perspective de béatitude spirituelle, Life has gone on long enough, son deuxième opus, nous interdit l'accès au bonheur terrestre. La vie n'a aucune substance et la production plus distante le confirme. Le DSBM s'empare de textures sonores blues, mettant en relief une dépression urbaine. Les cris partent en fumées : ne restent que les pleurs... Jordan Vauvert

The first 30 seconds of "Revenge by Fire" convinced me to get the whole album! It is a face-melting blend of speed and black metal, reminiscent of Hellripper! KVAEN is a Swedish solo project much like Hellripper but many known guest musicians helped J. Björnfot in his endeavor. Altogether it is really a solid debut album, I loved the melodies and the pace changes in the second half too, ending with a "calm" instrumental one. Well-done!! sachavonkarl74
